I know there is a big difference between these two platforms in terms of the way in which these two platforms rank ads. And I believe I have a slight grip on the two. But I was hoping someone in this forum who understands this much better would be able to enlighten me in an easy to understand manner that would help me as well as help my clients understand what features rank your ads higher on between these two. But that will be changing on Y as they are changing to be more like G with vary your cost and placement based on CTR
YSM: Only based on CPC bids. AW & AdCenter: Based on CPC + performance. Performance is a result of measuring CTR, competing ads' CTR, landing page quality and possible conversions (but that's speculating). More variables in there probably but those are the main ones. Because performance is based on a certain time frame gone by, you aill always start in a crap position and have to work (or buy) your way up.
