I found out a trick some weeks ago, which makes the External keyword tool that Google provides even more valuable. The trick is that you can see how much a top 1-3 position on that keyword in Google Adwords will cost, without switching to the Traffic Estimator. What I find even more useful is that the amount that Google will give is in you're local currency. The Google traffic estimator always predicts the amount in dollars, but with this trick Google will show you the amount in your local currency. (Euro's for me because I'm dutch). Well how does it work? Simply surf to the Google External Keyword tool, type in your keyword, enter the verification code and press the Suggest button. Choose the keyword that you want to be appraised, and select the keyword with by pressing the mouse button at the left of keyword, and sliding it all the way to the pictures which shows how many competition their is on that particular keyword. It is very important that you select the keyword but also the space behind it (it's just white.... you think). Now press ctrl + c and go to your favorite text editor (or the URL bar) and press ctrl + v. A text like this will appear: hypotheek] 1 - 3 €6,24 Code (markup): This is the keyword AND the price you need to pay!
You can get this info without any tricks. Under the - Choose columns to be displayed: -> select Show all. it will show keyword + price.
Silly rabbit tricks are for kids. Even so if that were a "trick" that would be a very long and tedious task to get information of dubious value.
