Google Adwords - is this true?

    Good evening people,

I read the book of Perry Marshall - Adwords Book (very useful for those who don't know much about google adwords), but the following text set me to think:

Now it’s time to do peel and stick with your keywords and phrases. Look at the
keywords in your campaigns. Some are doing really well. Some are getting
0.3% (bad) CTR’s. Some get disabled. Some are 5 cents. Some are three
dollars. Some are in the 1st position and some are in the 15th position. Take the
ones that are “unusual” compared to the rest – the ones that get disabled; the
ones that are much more or less expensive, or get much higher or lower CTR’s.
Peel them off (delete them) and stick them in their own new campaign. Now
write TWO new ads (not one) – and play “beat my control” again. This allows
you to optimize the performance of this keyword without affecting your other
    ones
. Again, you want to do this with words that are performing differently than
the rest of the pack, and especially with words that get a LOT of traffic.

De bold-highlighted text set me to think, because why you have to put the bad converting or with a low CTR keywords in another new campaign.. why you don't put them in another ad group? It's about the CTR of an individual keyword or an individual ad group not about the whole campaign's CTR? Or am I wrong and if i am wrong why? Because that's what I want to know

its becuz the writer is an idiot, makes all things just complicated xD

In a campaign, each keyword has its own quality and CTR score, when you group a couple of keywords togeather in an adgroup it just makes it easier for you to handle your campaign.

And the CTR and the CPC that u see in an adgroup report is the total average sum of all the keywords in the same adgroup, simple as that.

Keep in mind that traffic in affiliate marketing literelly means NOTHING, you can have a keyword thats generating 400$/day with 24 clicks (but usually u pay alot more per click for this kind of situations) and another keyword thats gets 1k clicks/day and is only generating 100$...

I say that there's no better teacher then the lord of faliure, you`ll get the hang of affiliate marketing as time passes, just make sure you wont go bankrupt in the proccess xD
But reading guides is always a good thing, if youre a total newbie then practice on theory before you set foot in the IMing world :p

    ~peace,
    tony ;)
