i signed up for a adwords campaign a couple of days ago, and i keepnoticing adwords keep saying this is not enough money on this search term, increase the bid, my problem is - there are only 2 other ppc ads on the page, but google want me to put it up to $5.00 a click, i am currently at .20c which should put me 3rd at least if there is only 2 other ads there.

search term is: Grand Bahama Island Real Estate

I have also just noticed that Guanaja Real Estate which is one of my search terms has no ppc ads at all, but google say: Inactive for search
Increase quality or bid $5.00 to activate

how in the world does that make sense?

i'd appreciate any comments on what i should do, or comment about how it works and what i am doing wrong.

    thanks in advance

Its Because the quality score of the keywords is not great. Increase the quality by making sure that the main keywords are in the copy of your website or in meta tags of your website.

There's a good ebook on this subject called 'Beating adwords'. Unlike most ebooks, this one actually contains useful information. Link is:-

Poor quality score due to low CTR and/or not relevant enough landing pages. Do some basic SEO for the landing pages and add some relevant text. Perhaps, a few paragraphs about whatever keyword you're targeting. Also, take note that if your landing page is mostly graphics, Google's spiders cannot read text contained in graphics.

If google is asking for $5 bids, this means you have landing page errors. Please post the link to your landing page or PM it to me and I will tell you exactly what you need to fix it.

Plus, now that your domain is slapped you have a 90% chance you need to use a new domain
