I've decided to try Google AdWords again since my website has been redone and so far in 3 days it cost me $30 and didn't return a single sale, only one sign up and the user never even signed in after signing up. What could be the cause of this? Do I need to refine the settings? Adjust my daily budget or cost per click? Just wait longer and hope for results? I don't mind paying $500 a month if it gets me at least a few hundred more in sales, but so far it hasn't returned any sales whatsoever. What can I do for AdWords to get me sales, not just clicks? Would a different type of advertising be better? Thank you
Maybe your keywords are not tight enough. If you bid on poorly chosen keywords for your product, or irrelevant keywords, you'll get poor quality clicks, that don't convert. Your quality score will tell you that. Maybe your landing page is not doing a good job at convincing the visitor to buy. Even if you use the proper keywords, it's your page's job to convert that click. The ad is the carrot to get them to click and read your sales message. A poor sales message results in poor conversions. How many clicks for your $30? You need more than a handful or a few dozen clicks before making an informed decision that something doesn't work. Remember that many sites report only 1 to 2% conversion rates. That's one sale in 50 to 100 visitors. Good sales pages will convert much higher but even a 5% conversion means one sale in 20 on average.
I would try Sperse AdLight. We offer Geo-targeting for national and local campaigns, real-time reporting, keyword suggesting, advanced fraud protection and 24/7 support while all this won't cost you more than a fraction of the cost of Google Adwords. PM me and I will also match your first deposit by 50%.
What do you think of my landing page: http://auctionautobidder.com/ ? I got about 33 clicks for about $30, but my profit margin can be as little as $15 on my lowest cost product, if I need to pay nearly $100 for 100 clicks to get one $15 profit sale then that's simply ridiculous. Is AdWords only good for products with over $100 profit margins? Thanks
This is the first time I hear of Sperse, does advertising with you mean only people searching the internet on Sperse.com will see my ads?
No, advertising with Sperse will not only limit your ads on Sperse search engine but will also display your ads on our partner network sites, search engines as well as our partner publisher websites. We only accept publishers with a minimum traffic of 5000 unique visitors a month and who comply with our TOS.
Sorry but your landing page looks horrible, no doubt why it doesn't convert. Plus, you are probably paying too much in CPC. You have to do a DEEP research on the keywords, and always test test and test, you will never find the right converting keywords on your first attempt. My suggestion is that you learn much more in general about Internet Marketing, you clearly lack a lot of knowledge, given what you write.
adword is a jackpot, if your website has a Good sales page, call for action, any visitors will not sign up until he gets what he wants, better understand your website as a customer and then pick up some tight keywords. i am sure this time bounce rate will go probably low.
I think I realized several of my mistakes: -I only had one general ad that led to my main page -I had way too many keywords not realizing it was causing my to pay for people not looking specifically for what I have -My ads themselves were vague I have now: -Made one ad for each of my products that leads to that product page -Made a very short list of specific keywords -Made the ads describe the specific product they are for so that people not looking for that specifically will not needlessly click to see it's not what they were looking for I'm waiting for these new ads to be approved and have a good feeling this will be a huge step in the right direction. Any other tips?
I'm glad to say when I updated the sign up page I didn't test it fully and it wasn't working! No wonder I got zero sign ups since updating it! I've corrected the problem with it yesterday and already got new sign ups even though my Google ads are not currently running, I'm waiting for new ones to be approved. This means it wasn't AdWords that wasn't sending targeted traffic, it's my sign up page that was down without me even knowing until yesterday. I'm anxious for my new ads to be approved, it's been well over 3 business days so far and it still says Under review.
I am a little tired and I found your page over whelming, hard to read & made me dizzy LoL... I would get rid of some of that large Text & maybe the use of the full screen is also over kill... The large text as in: Auction Auto Bidder Online is a web based eBay auction sniper service. The Online version allows your bids to be placed even if your computer is off and allows you to access your bids from any computer or device with a web browser, it works on Windows, Apple/Macs... Maybe include some more screen shots with step by step examples of the program working. Pictures are worth a thousand words...
I agree with thsadmin. Your page could REALLY use a nice, professional overhaul. There's just too much on the page and no clear direction where a person should move their eyes to see it in an organized manner. If you are willing to spend up to $500 in Adwords in a month, you might try putting up a Design request in the Contests section of DigitalPoint and pay someone a couple hundred to redesign the landing page for you. Hope this helps. Good luck!
