    Google adwords gives you global and local monthly searches for a particular keyword.So before focusing on any keyword, just check for the Adword details so as to ensure the competition rate.

    Good keyword research comes from a high search volume and low competition. Traffic estimator and bid predictions can be inaccurate at timesso use it as guidance figures only.

    Within the Adwords forums the GOOG employees will freely admit that Adwords is not for everyone -- and I don't mean legal vs illegal -- I mean all legal sites. Some sites just aren't a good fit for Adwords.
    Not to say they're not happy to take your $$ :) You just need to find out for yourself if it works for you.
