Google Adwords In New Window - Target=blank

I managed to change my google adsense link so that the layer is the link and this will popup in a new window and redirect to google adsense link that they click on.

Is this legal? Will I get banned if I don't change this back?

My site is www.gimme4free.net - It has only been live for a little while and has earnt me all of $2.38 so far! But I'd rather try and earn more but I don't want to get banned and with a site like mine it is hard enough to get visitors and keep them rather than to just shoo them off but my website needs to earn me some money somehow, at least that was the idea of it!

To be honest I can really see a site like mine getting to high, what is the best type of website to make that will gain a lot of interest? Ive got 3 websites, all of which I advertise using adwords, all quite low on Google search engine (Page 4/5/6) but none get above 5000 hits a month, whats the best way to advertise the site in your own opinions/experience?

    Cheers

    Chris

it would have to be adsense, and google does tell you not to mess with the code.
I would email their support to get the correct answer ;)

Ya, your site is following one of the popular subjects in the online world: money making. If you feel that you need more impressions or clicks for getting higher revenue from adsense, start feeding your website with most searched keywords in relation to its theme. I mean start uploading contents.... I know people, who have popularized their website purely on the basis of keyword rich content and are earning heavily too.

And about the link, i will advise you to check with Adsense terms and condition. Do not take any risk with Google... :)

I strongly suggest that you take a few moments of your time to read through the Google AdSense terms. If you did that in the beginning you would already know that it is against the terms to alter the code and it is specifically a "no no" to cause the ads to open up in a new window.

As others have already said - you are risking having your AdSense account banned. You might get away with it for a little while, but not for long.

As for your other question; Try buying adspace on relevant websites, write articles for sites like Ezine Articles, and above all put unique and interesting content on your sites.
