The one thing I have been frustrated with regarding Google is there "On Trial" and "On Hold" policies. Example. My site is clearly revolved around diet pills. It even says it in it's domain name. Yet, when I add the key word diet pills, the automatically put it "On Hold". Why? They say that it's a complex calculation based on the previous success of other advertisers and their CTR. Well that's super, but that doesn't automatically mean I will fail just because they did. I asked them to make an exception saying that for the 1 hour I was live and out of the 10 clicks I recieved I made 2 sales! But they wouldn't budge. They suggested I try different copy for my ad, which I did, and again the key word was automatically put "On Hold". Very frustrating.
I wonder what the time frame they have set-up for the IP Address tracking? based on session... what designates a session prior to billing? check out www.superpages.com/advertise
Why don't you just tell us what it does or if you've had experience with it. Posting a link like that just makes it look like you're trying to promote it for personal gain
going back on this old thread. basically Verizon uses Miva's "system" with it's own settings for time frame and per click legitamacy etc. I am really curious about click defense.com! thanks
Click Defense looks good, but wow, $90/mo for the first 50K page views? Their regular $30/mo Bronze product sounds pretty good though, I might have to try that out and see what it's like.
As has been said a million times, Verizons PPC is based on US local search and is not the same as AdWords. Most of the people here would have a non existent CTR so your use of the Miva system doesn't apply to this situation (At least its not a reason to bump such an old thread)
