I was looking at the data from analytics on CPC advertising and looking at the Adwords compaign management data, they're the not the same According the the Adwords, I've received more clicks than what was recorded on analytics. For example, Adwords showed I had 334 clicks last month, while analytics showed 325 clicks last month. This was observed the month before as well, anyone have any idea why this might be happening?
its a strange result as the analytics should show a value higher compared to AdWord as analytics included the filtered results - for example if you had a 10% of invalid clicks analytics should show a a value like: 334 + 334 x 10% = 334 + 33 = 367 clicks normally these results are different when you have different periods of time like different time zones - but I think that you are using the same account configured for the same time zone. So you still have some reasonable explanation like: - some problem related to the installed analytics code in your site; and/or - your site was down to an certain period of time and AdWords sent the traffic to it. I think that the last one (site down) is a more reasonable explanation for it - if it is true - I estimate about a 85% uptime only ... ( based on adwords clicks a 10% invalid clicks and analytics measurement) it is still strange.
That's because some of the visitors didn't have javascript on. Or have blocked that javascript, analytics relies 100% on javascript.
