Hi everyone, I am new to AdWords, but I successfully passed the AdWords Certification Test at a rate of 90%. Now, my ultimate goal is to provide services for businesses interested in AdWords to promote their websites. I've stumbled on several discouraging posts elsewhere. Their argument was that one needs experience of up-to several years before providing such services. I was wondering what is the use, then, of the certification program? I believe it encompasses a great deal of knowledge that, when coupled with a "reasonable" level of experience, would prove very useful. In your opinion, how long should I spend gaining hands-on experience before providing any services, knowing that I have never managed campaigns but have obtained the certification? When I say how long, I am referring to the minimum period over which such practical experience should span. Also, is there any way to expedite such process (obviously without compromising or cutting corners)? I'm willing to spend hours on end if there is a need for that. I just want to envision the magnitude of commitment that I am about to make. Does anyone also know of a place where I can offer my service to businesses for free while I am honing my skills? Thanks in advance
Apply AdWords on your own commercial websites... this should give you the experience you need. If you do not have any commercial website, then create one -- this also increases your skill set.
Negative people don't want you to succeed. When you don't, it makes them feel better about their constant failing at life. Don't listen to them. Put your blinders and go out and get business. That means speaking to the via email or phone or whatever method you want. The only person really stopping you is you.
You could get the certification, congratulation, this show me that you can get in to the business, too.
I should take that test.........I bet I would rock it..........probably know things about Adwords that the Big G doesn't.....lol
