how can I change the headline of the ad to have a dynamic word from a list of cities

Example: If i want to target keywords:

    iphone trader london
    iphone trader Manchester
    iphone trader Timbakto
    ...
    ..

So only word changing is the city and I only want the ad picked up if the city is in my list of 10 cities? So if the user seraches for 'Iphone trader london' then I want my add to be picked up but if the user searches for any other city (which is not in my list) then I don't want this picked up. Would I have to setup seperate adgroups of each city or is there a dynamic way of getting around this?

    Thanks

The DKI (Dynamic Keyword Insertion) is what you need. The syntax is:

{keyword:text} where text is the substitute insertion should the resulting line be longer than the allowed maximum (25 characters for title, 35 for each description lines).

The keyword inserted in the one that triggered your ad, not the actual search that was used. Of course, if an exact match triggered the ad, it would be the search term used.

{keyword} will insert all words in lower case.
{Keyword} will insert with the first letter of the first word capitalized.
{KeyWord} will insert with the first letter of each word capitalized.

    Thank you.

So if example above was to be implemented

    the headline could just be: {keyword: Iphone Trader}

and my list of keywords could be:

    iphone trader london
    iphone trader Manchester
    iphone trader Timbakto
    ..
    ..

Google would therefore show the ad if any of the 10 keywords were searched for by the user (assuming they put in the city name which is in my keyword list)..

For clarification sake, where the user searches for a city not in my keyword list then does google display my default headline .. i.e 'Iphone Trader' or does it not show any ad at all?

    Thanks again

If someone searches for "iphone trader cheltenham" and you don't have it in your list, it obviously won't trigger on that keyword. If you have the keyword "iphone trader", your ad will trigger but that's the keyword that will be inserted using the DKI. The default is only used when the insertion makes the line too long.
