    Hi,

I have separated my "Search Only" and "Content Only" campaigns. and, I bid "much" lower on my "Content Only" campaigns (which have my company name in the title) reletive to my "search only" campaigns.

If I bid lower on 'Content Only' it is a pretty good deal. I get massive impressions at a very reasonable price. I don't get many clicks but it's ok because my main purpose is branding of my website by getting massive impressions.

And, to get branding of my website - it's really a good idea to make my company name or website visible in the first line of the ad or a catchy description which includes the name I wish to make brand.

    What are your opinions guys?

I think it is a very good move you have made. Another effective way to brand yourself is by using the new ad builder within the content network based around the colours of your website / product.

    Nice job.

If your CTR is really low, you'll lose impressions over time.

its a great idea in theory... massive impressions at no cost because nobody clicks the ad. Problem is google does not like ads with no clicks... so google will end up cutting you off very quickly.

Well, I don't mean that I don't want any click. As I already said my main purpose is to get massive impressions with less clicks.

Google aren't going to cut you off quickly while using the content network and at the same time it has 0 effect towards your search network.

I have been using this for quite some time now, but the issue is many a times you get these impressions below 3-4 scrolls and thus no body sees your ad. 80% of these impressions never get seen by a user as they are hidden below 3-4 scrolls.

In time you will probably lose the impressions when there are other ads that perform better (read: have higher CTR). CTR is pretty much the quality score on the content network so there is a possibility that you will lose the impressions over time.

Anyway, do you see any branding effects yet? I find it hard to put value on for example: 100.000 impressions on the content network because of different reasons. It would be nice if you could share something about this to us..
