    Be very careful if you are not experienced with Adwords. You can burn through a lot of cash quickly with no return if you do not know what you are doing.

    That being said, using Adwords to drive traffic to a new site that does not yet rank organically is a good strategy. But have someone experienced with SEM/PPC manage you ad campaigns.

    Google Adwords is a good way to spread the word about a NEW website... If visitors like your site and content after clicking on your Adwords ad then it's very likely they'll spread the word and hopefully link to your site, giving you SEO benefit..
