It's impossible to know the return if any. It depends on the click through rate and the amount per click you're making. I never found I could make money using adsense and adwords together. I always spent far more on adwords than I got back from adsense. I use articles, blogs etc to get traffic to my adsense sites. It works for me and only costs time not money.

So I should try only free traffic source for getting traffic.

Now I got a post here in DP that google doesn't allow adword & adsense on same website.

Adword campaign will help you in driving targeted traffic to your site but the ctr is dependent on how well you optimize your site with ads and none can tell for sure how many will click the ads.

If this even would be legal... so let's say you have 10% CTR on destination page - you get 1000 unique visitors, and 100 of them will click on ads, it has to be at least 1$ per click to equal your investment. Is this real for you?

$1 per click is hard to get. Average I can get is $0.25 per click.

First thing first before you embark on your adwords campaign is to make sure your CTR is at least above 5%. I don't think you can make any money if it goes anything lower than that.
It depends also on how you managed to get the lowest bid and your ads to appear.

MFA are sites made for adsense and google is trying to find such sites and banning them. These websites are simply skeletal websites and people just earn money, in fact, used to make money like this but it's a complete NO, NO at google now.

Google Arbitrage is strictly prohibited. Never do that for short term income.

Search engine traffic = Free Lunch , but anyone has to work for that traffic like providing unique content and doing effective SEO, yeap that`s right. Try selling a product if you are going to spend on adwords you might end selling up a car, as I have done 2 months back with my eBay referral site, that sale made me 1250$ alone.
