Just curious if anyone has taken the test and if so what you thought about it? I finally got off my ass and decided to take it yesterday. Really didn't seem all that complicated if you've spent much time working with AdWords...although there were a few questions that I had to ponder for awhile. I passed though
Just in case anyone's interested, here's the lowdown on a couple things related to this program. The test (it's $50 to take it) is pretty easy. It's 100 something questions and you get an hour and half to complete it. If you pass, and meet the other criteria, you get a nifty client center where you can manage multiple AdWords accounts. You also get access to some marketing tools, promotional credits for new clients and a learning center. You also get a logo and a professional status page so you can prove to people you are indeed certified. It takes a few days after you pass the test and meet all the criteria for everything to get activated but if you're managing more than 1 AdWords client this is definately the way to go. Can't believe I waited as long as I did to get it over and done with. Here's the main page that talks about everything related to the program.
Anyone who meets the criteria can have access to the client center. Unless you're managing more than 1 account (or trying to get into that biz) there's really no reason I can think of to bother with it.
Can you post some examples of the harder questions? I am taking the test in a few days and want to make sure I am prepared.
Just study and prepare the Google adwords Learning Center material.Use these materials to expand and sharpen up your AdWords knowledge. And it is also better to have some experience with live compaign. It's free!! http://www.google.com/adwords/learningcenter/
No, you can take the test whenever. You have to meet all the criteria though (including the $1000) before you're officially qualified.
I'm gearing up for the test now, the info isn't all that tough since I've got some PPC experience under my belt...but it seems like they're stretching for valid questions to ask and end up with ultra-specific things like "which four pieces of information appear on the Campaign Details page?" and "which three of these five things can be edited from the xxxx page?". So basically what I'm wondering is if this can be an "open-book" exam that one takes with another browser window open (to check Google for some of the more hair-splitting questions and avoid the pointless memorization of asinine information). Any help would be appreciated...or anything you think I might need to know while prepping for this badboy. Thanks in advance!
