    Hello All,

Ok I am not the conspiracy nut...at least not yet anyway. But something strange
happened with google ads following me by what seemed to be location tracking.

Maybe some other have experienced this:

I am currently located in Colombia, South America. I usually get ads for online companies
and a few chain companies here in Colombia...Exito and Duncan Donuts mostly. I was
looking up a site called iZigg that is about SMS messaging while I was on the phone
with a friend who was located in Florida.

My friend asked me to use my LogMeIn to fix an issue on his PC. I was logged into his
PC for maybe an hour fixing the problem. From there I closed out the Izigg site and
returned to my site. When I opened my site I saw an ad on both of my sites from a
nursing home. Now keep in mind that I had been searching for an SMS related site only...but the scary part is that the ad for the nursing home was in FLORIDA!

Within 100 - 150 miles from my friends home was the area of the nursing home. So is it
possible that with google so secret algorithm they could detect that I accessed another PC that was located in Florida through my LogMeIn account?

I could understand them doing this because I could see many people using programs like logmein to click their own ads. But the questions is...did it really happen and wouldn't that be so illegal on Googles and Logmin in's part? Unless it is in the Privacy Policy that Google can share information with sites like Logmein and vice verse.

Or is it something more innocent ?

Well if you used your friends PC, you used his IP right? So seems a bit innocent explanation IMO...

Every website that displays adsense ads must put a link to the privacy policy and tell their visitors how adsense tracks them ..

So you are basically agreeing with this ..

Google bought DoubleClick some time ago and so now uses the nefarious DART Cookie.

Don't forget about the Adobe Flash Cookie that is even capable of running in Zombie mode and reactivating even after you kill it!

People are missing the point: I used LOGMEIN.COM to access my friends PC while I was OUT of the country!
Then when I visited websites with GOOGLE ADS it showed me ads that where LOCAL to where my friend was
    in FLORIDA!

I didn't use my friends PC to to surf the net...I only logged into it to FIX his issues.

From what I could tell...Google knew that I used logmein to access another from Colombia to Florida. So even
though I was in another Country...Adsense started serving me ads from Florida.
