Google Adsense usage by Gurus

I started this in my rant in response to:
"How to create a fake Adsense screenshot" How anyone can create huge adsense screen shots to show they made millions on the internet. This is my rant on the topic :) a bit of reality for people.

That original thread was deleted before I could post the response.
    ***************************************

That's the problem with the money making "gurus" these days, they all show adsense, clickbank statements in their sales letters, which are BS. (even without this trick, Photoshop does just fine)

I one knew a real estate "guru" who taught people who to buy houses and flip them that lived in a rented studio! lol...he was exposed, fortunately.

The truth is that when people are selling products that teach OTHERS to make money, they should SHOW what they have (their wealth). Bank Statements, cars and so on. If they got a million USD in cash in their bank account and drive a lamborghini and mercedes then you can at least know you're dealing with someone who has wealth. Obviously, this assumes they are internet millionares NOT from selling money making products but from running their own businesses online.

How many of those "gurus" are wealthy before they became "gurus"? Almost None. A few gurus who are rich now are rich from selling people money making products when they themselves didn't even make any money, they are a joke. They don't even provide any realistic information on money making! Just chew and spit out the same information someone can get for free. Want them to 'coach' you? how about $10,000 USD lol! Real money making involves teaching people commerce, marketing, sourcing, SEO, PAs, conversions, copywriting, testing, and so on. This can't be done in just 1 ebook, this requires a team of staff to help people.

Sorry to go on a rant, but I'm so sick of seeing sales letters made by some Indian guy in bangladesh (I'm pointing towards the author even outsourcing the sales letter) ripping off people who are working hard at a day job and trying to start a business online. They charge some poor soul $39.97 and give them some shitty ebook with rehashed crappy information. How can you sell money making secrets for $39.97 lol, come on.

I'd like to start by giving a big compliment with your post. You've managed to write down the feelings a lot of people had and still have. Many people don't think, but just assume it's true what people say on the internet, as long as they have a nice site. Well, this post is a well needed wakeup call. Don't ever take anything on the internet for granted! Doublecheck it, or even better, triplecheck it. 99% of all E-Books on the internet are made of total useless info even a kid could combine into an e-book.

I like the part about the real estate internet "guru" who turned out to live in a studio lmao :).

Rep given for your great post!

    Greets,

    Semi

Fact #1 Most DP users don't even make 1$ per day. If you are gonna price your thing at 100$ , you know there won't be a sale. The option is to sell it at a lower price and make that money making thing destroyed.

You should start blogging, I like what you write.

What makes me so mad about these "gurus" is that they rip off hard working honest people. Many of the people who buy these trashy 'money making ebooks' from "gurus" are unemployed or with large families, really trying to do well for themselves and their families. It's shame to see them taken even for $1 US , much less $40 or 100 usd! They get ripped off by some pretend millionaire who drives around in a used toyota

Nice post, you've got a point here. It's amazing how many people are looking to make quick money on the internet without doing the required work to get there. There are so many bad things about these learn to make money online sites. First of all, if it's out and everybody knows about it, it's already too late. If money was made using those techniques, those people have moved on to new methods and are just scooping up some last earnings on the "old ways". Secondly, if you found an amazing formula for doing business online, would you tell anybody about it? Of course not. You would just quietly smile and then continue doing what was working on a larger scale.

Some people offer actual value with creative ideas and updates on services etc, but for the most part it's just the same old "find a niche, put in some keywords, slap on some ads, and you will make a lot of money just like me".

Btw, there is something immoral about abandoning your own judgement. Keep doing what you love to do, try out different things. Most won't work, but then again you'll learn something and build on what you learn. You might even be lucky and strike gold. In the end, cosistent and hard work will pay off.

I would love to see a course to help people at least start by making $1 USD/DAY! :) not 1000s of millions that the "gurus" themselves don't even have.

In fact, I just got a "guru" spam email, and one particular guru says he created web 2.0, no joke!

    check out his title:
Wake Up Call: Web 2.0 Wouldn’t Exist Without Internet Marketers

You do realize most real so called 'millionaires' do drive around in used toyotas and the like. That is why they are millionaires in the first place: They have learned how to save.

Well, of course, there is some truth to this. I know a few guys who drive shabby cars but are well off; however, their bank accounts have a few million in cash! At least they can show off their bank account, right? :)

To be fair, I know many millionaires (majority) with high-end luxury sedans with personal drivers, those are the type of people I'd be interested in learning internet marketing from (not to say that I'm not one of them:D).

I'm sure you agree that people who can't make millions on the internet shouldn't try to tell others how to do so :D (aka commit fraud)

Good post. I feel the same way when I read some of the more popular blogs on the "making money online" subject. I'm not looking to get rich from the few websites I have. My motto is to become less poor. I'll worry about getting rich once I'm getting ahead of my debts. Though I would certainly love to become some rich web guru, I fully realize that it is a jampacked niche with more and more people trying to horn in on it every day.

Fraud? Really? Why don't you report them to the FBI?

Oh wait, you can't prove malicious intent. Bummer. There goes your case for fraud. If I'm a guru and I'd rather sell cheap ebooks on the subject than use the knowledge for other projects that's my decision, not yours, and it's certainly not FRAUD.

I'm not saying I don't agree with the point you're trying to make. I'm just saying you should get your facts straight first.

    Excellent post!
Unfortunately way too many people are faking it when it comes to making money:D
But if you listened to Donald Trump or Robert Kyosaki (Rich Dad Poor dad)
they recommend joining network marketing company to anyone who is looking to become financially independent.

For those who don't know: Monavie is the fastest growing private company in USA today, every week 15000-20000 people join all around the world, they are open in 10 countries now, and hit $2.5 Billion in sales.

Let me know if you are interested,
