nice story. now that we know there is a remedy, people whom adsense owe money and ban without showing any legit reason can sue them using the reference. courts usually favor previous similar judgement
This is silly. You and we all need Google. Google doesn't need you or us. It needs some of us, but not all of us. Point here I'm making is this. NOBODY IS FORCING YOU TO SIGN UP TO ADSENSE. IF YOU DONT LIKE IT THEN SHOP SOMEWHERE ELSE. When a business like Walmart rips your off or has crappy sevice, how do you get back at them? By shopping there? I think not. Simple. Make your statement and shop elsewhere. We all have that freedom. Oh, it's also better for us sticking with Adsense because we will then get the better ads. Cheers.
Just what I was thinking...and the fact is, they don't need to give any specific explainations for banning sites...this is why they have TOS. If it falls within there TOS, that should be enough. It may suck, but imagine the time, money, and resources it would take to send everyone who was banned a "detailed" explaination as to why. I certainly don't want to pay out of earnings for this...I barely make enough through Adsense as it is.
Yup, Adsense is horrible I used them for about a month and quit. It's possible to make money with adsense but biggest problem is that there is virtually no customer support. I find it surprising that a product that generates the majority of Google's revenue has absolutely no support, and is apparently ran by robots. Google has over 20,000 employees, what the hell are they all doing? Can't Google hire 200 more people, get an 800 number and run an actual customer support center? This is a company that generated over $4.2 billion in net income in 2008, I'm sure, it wouldn't make that big of a dent financially by hiring a few hundred low payed employees. If anything it would increase their revenue.
I am also having some worse experience with google adsense No human support, nothing. Sometimes, it seems like a really dumb company to me. Thanks for the link, loved reading the article
Great story, the ripped off people should take a step and stand up. Screw google and their Don't Be Evil slogan. Do Be Greedy. Van SIlver
Well if you requested that a check be sent at $50 dollars and you get terminated you then its not worth taking them to court as it will cost you $40 just to get the paper work shuffle threw the courts. (basically they won so raise the amount in your account to be sent at $100 or more ) Now i also wanted to mention this was small claims court (anything under $2000) which is different then filing threw the federal court system (where you sue for millions) and will be battling there "attorneys" which probably get paid a few thousand per hour and not the paralegal (the attorneys assistant). This does still open the doorway though for bigger court battles as much like the judge said you need to tell people what the reason was for termination as well as basically told them your support sucks and you cant be giving people the run around like you do. (fix it or prepare for more court battles) thx malcolm
