Google Adsense, Stealing Code?

    Hi guys,

I read something on here earlier today about someone stealing someone's adsense code - how is this possible?

Reason I am asking is because I want to start Adsense but I have read their ToS and I don't want to be caught up with Google and banned because someone has stolen my Adsense link.

If this is possible, how can i prevent this from happening? I will be using Joomla! if that helps to answer?

    Many thanks,
    gregfire.

There is not point in someone stealing you ad sense code, most of the time this happens by accident. It happens when some one copy's the code from your site or they code is on a feed.

If this happens you could just contact Google and inform them of your problem, and this will prevent you from getting banned.

you can't prevent someone stealing your code. all they have to do is look at the source of your page and they will see it...

To be honest I am not to sure, since if they stole the ad code it might also track it like one of your ads. I hope someone who knows more about how to track ads posts something.

The best answer I could give though is that the impressions just wont match those that are on your web sites logs.
