Google AdSense Spider? Sounds suspicious...

Discussion in 'Google' started by BusinessForums.com, Mar 28, 2007.

A few minutes ago, I noticed something named Google AdSense Spider visiting my forum. I did a reverse IP and it resolves to primarydns.com and hostaga.com, both not registered to Google. This seem suspicious to me. Does anyone know if they are they legit or should I block their IPs?

    Thanks.

most of the spywares use either googles name or msn names. You have to be careful. Such as internet explorer add-ons use the name google-toolbar, you have disable those to stop spyware. Just a quick note.

You want the funny part? Maybe its the robot that click on adsense?

    and better stuff:

(if someone will do it inspired by this post then please
pm and allow me to acces this data)

google tos disallow to scrap their pages? right?
but what when google results are on other sites?
Then google cant disallow scraping and lets say
that someone makes a robot that crawls Adsense ads,
    and gets:

Pub id of publisher = they'll know what sites one guy runs
Ads shown in order = Scrap most CTRed phrazes etc
Get Adwords advertisers pages = get know how many advertiser
    google has etc,

    Funny, heh?

(i bet i'll get bad rep afther this :( )
