im not saying this thread starter was following all the rules etc but adsense does ban innocent people from time to time which does worry me because I dont think they ever consider letting that particular publisher coming back in or explaining themselves..

it is possible as if a site owner was originally using other methods to make money and then switched to adsense on a established site... there are many other possibilities..

There is always a reason for someone getting banned. The site publisher might be innocent, but perhaps a rival tried to sabotage the site in order to attract the "Google police." I've heard that Google is willing to look at individual cases and has reinstated accounts in the past.

I would encourage people who don't trust Google to stop using the Adsense program, especially if they have sites that might compete for the same keywords as my own.

As I said in another thread, everyone is human (ecven google) and mistakes will happen from time to ime. But alsomost always (with few exeptions) the banned publishers have probably been clicking on their own ads to inflate their earnings or particpated in some dodgy scam where members click each others ads.

Yes, Google has reinstated accounts if there was a legitimate reason that the account was unfairly banned (ie: click bots or bombing from a competitor).

If you're a webmaster and have kids/spouse/family in the house who might click on the ads, you should disable Adsense on your home network as a preventive measure.

You're not the first to be bent over by Google. Granted, it is great that they are so strict on the publishers to ensure that advertisers recieve their ROI. But on the other hand, when I first started getting into making money online I had already established a pretty busy gaming related forum. I decided to throw adsense on there and just prior to my first check being emailed out I got slammed with a ban as well. I know I didn't click on my ads, but I know others that visited the forum were aware that I was making money on it. So i'm certain there were some non-legitimate clicks on them.... Unfortunately I will never be able to use Adsense again. :(

There has to be some serious violation of google rules for you to be banned and as a sometimes adwords advertiser who's considering adding my ads to appear on other sites, this really makes me think twice.

Are you like one of Google's competitors posting under an assumed name :)

I was watching your opening post get slapped up one side and the other from the beginning.

Google has paid me a nice little check every month on time, since last October when I started with Adsense.

My CTR increased 80% or so, and my monthly checks close to doubled as I figured out where to put more ads and what sizes to use.

I won't say that you could not have had a "bad experience", but Adsense's income potential is so established on the internet, that your overall statement was sort of extreme.

Forum301, you have a cheek saying adsense scammed you - its the other way around. You werent owed any of that money and I'm glad they cancelled your payment. Its people like you that make it harder for people trying to run small businesses with adwords campaigns.

Let's assume for a moment that you did nothing wrong, and Google took all of your hard-earned cash.. The fact is that when you entered into your business-contract with Google Adsense, you agreed that Google had the right, at their sole-discretion to close your account and keep all your money.. this is part of the contract that you agreed to.. any judge would (and has) toss your claim right out..
These are the rules that we agreed to..

You don't have a good memory. Adsense is clearly allowed in forums, or maybe DP is just so small that nobody noticed.

This happens a lot when you implant your ad to a new site and get a boom of revenue. Google will assume you were "cheating" and take out your acount.
