Who here believes google adsense is a good payout? Google is too big to compete against. Even microsoft tried to compete and failed. Who likes them either??? Google can be beated if all small companies who use google adsense come together and start using an alternate source of adsense. I have in mind creating a website just for this. People can set up adverts on this site but also display adverts on their site. The payout will be based on PPC. Will this idea succeed??? Pleese comment on your oppinion.
I like Google. It sounds like a though project you have ahead of you but aren't you just trying to take the piece of the big Ad cake or even try to replace AdSense totally? Sure, it is nothing wrong with that but will you, if it ever comes to that, not try to make the best business model for your company i.e. make as much money as possible, just as Google?
Perhaps I've misunderstood your business model, but where will the potential customers see these adverts? They're not going to visit a site that contains just adverts. Google is the biggest player in internet ads because it has a product that millions (or is it billions) use every day - useful and free. So there's your challenge - a free and useful product that attracts millions of potential customers for your advertisers. I hope you succeed - I think Google is too big and too powerful.
You are right about the suggestion. Things looks good when they are at a distance but when you try to approach them in practical you might create history or ends no where.
It is going to take a good long while for anyone let alone a start-up to beat google at a game it created.
maybe try to send about 1.500.000.000 emails to small part of our universe and tell them your business plan. If they ALL will do what you want, you WIN. If you won't, you FAILED. I think you will need about 10-100 your lives to complete it. But they will grow and will buy your company if you start compete them. I think it is better to try to create something new, like iPad. Touchscreen mobiles with ads (sure it is not neo product) But I want to say, that you must stun all universe if you want to beat google You could clone yourself million times and they will click other non Google ads. I think this was my best idea how to beat google. But then you will need to clone yourself about 500.000.000 times HA HA HA so funny
Lol, you can't beat it. If you can't beat it, better use it wisely and get rich from their payouts. Besides, they play fair unlike other out there. You just need to play fair either and use their program wisely.
To beat something that is that well established you would really have to have a well thought out business plan, a system that is not only for the Advertiser but also for the Publisher so that both feel at home, and you'd have to really really really work your tail off, not to mention you'd need more than yourself. Just think, how many people does Google employ to handle their Adwords program alone?
I think it is a good idea to get started and you might get lucky if you can create something new and innovative. I think Sooner or later just like everything else, Google will lose the domination and something new will come. And it is about time, Google a way to powerful it destroys the free will and information flow on the internet

In order to fight Google you would have to pinpoint exactly what they do wrong and do it better. Because if you think about it thats how Google came to be, because before them there was Yahoo, and MSN and then wayyyyy back in the day there was Lycos and Excite (anybody remember them? lol). You would also have to know a crap load about algorithms because Google the search engine is uses their own specialized algorithms that no one knows about. But this is also the reason adsense exists because once they got everyone to use "Google" adsense really became their basic since of revenue.
