Google AdSense Newbie!

I signed up with Google AdSense and recenlty got approved. However, before I start earning any money, I would like to know from people who used to work with it whether they earn anything from that system and how much Google pays per click. Thank you!

The pay per click amount varies wildly, anywhere from a penny or two to rumored clicks of $20 or more. It all depends on how much adverstisers are willing to pay for a click.

As far as earning anything: Yes! People earn lots. See the URL in my sig for a site where users have posted their monthly earnings.

Not if the keywords are relevant to your site.

Wensdymeter, Did you not read my thread about not commiting click fraud? You can't make a page that only spawns high paying ads cause that would violate the 'made for adsense' clause.

you wont regret putting the ad's up if you get decent traffic.
i have been with adsense since october and what i have noticed is different days you get higher paying spikes. Some days you will be cursing at the comp... lol
but in all its well worth it

How much do you earn each month on average? How many unique visitors do you have per month on average? It would be great if you would tell me ;)

TOPS didn't say to make a page that is 'made for adsense'. it IS possible to have a good, quality, informative site that is useful to readers and also pays well with adsense.

How is your site doing? Do you have a AdSense poll on your site that measures how satisfied people are with AdSense?

    Kasparoff,

If I could make a suggestion to increase your adsense revenue, integrate it into your site better. You have some navigation images with an orange background on the right of your page... try placing your adsense code in there using css to style and fit it. You will be amazed at the results...

EG: visit the bottom of one of my home pages [nourl]http://www.newcomputer.ca/[/nourl] you will see two little backgrounds to my adsense code... you would be stunned to know the increase the moment I incorporated that design.

Well, it's okay with what I have at this time. I don't want to waste time in trying to engage in close-ups with Google AdSense. I just checked that it's working ;)

Absolutely worth your time. It only takes a second, and you have gone through the trouble of signing up for an account and placing it on your website with the correct colors in the background etc... Why not actually use it's full potential and allow you to earn as much as possible? Otherwise, there is no point in having an account IMO.

That's exactly what I'm trying to say in fewer words. I promise...spend time now and you'll see why on payday.
