I've been using Google's keyword tool as a research device to possible keywords and adsense campaigns for my website but I'm not sure if I'm misusing Google's keyword tool I've typed in a couple of keywords relevant to my website and have found that there is a small-medium amount of search volume for these words and that there is no sign of any advertiser competition for these words (in the bar there is no activity) #1 Am I right in thinking therefore that if I were to optimise my website around these keywords then I would get a fairly high ranking ? #2 If I started an adsense campaign focused on these keywords would that also increase my ranking ? #3 Can this tool be used to gauge how much an adsense campaign may cost over the course of a month ? I'm aware there is an "estimated average CPC" field but this invites the use to type a monetary amount in (not sure why). I believe I can set a maximum budget for the keywords but apart from that don't know what I would get for my money. #4 I have also checked to see if the domain name for my keywords is available and they are (plus combinations thereof). Would you recommend I secure these ? Sorry for the all questions and I welcome any advice. Thank you
Yes, I am curious what is the average percentage of the CPC you get from the same keyword when using Adsense?
Well, I would suggest the answers are: 1. You might. Optimizing is one portion of a high ranking, links are also very important. 2. No 3. It will give an estimate, yes. 4. Perhaps. Having multiple sites can be a good tool as well. But they each then need to be promoted.
just try to answer these : 1. you might or you might not.. it depends on how high the competition around those keyword.. but keyword optimization is always a good start. 2.No 3.yes it will give you an estimate point to fit your budget. 4.actually I'm against those who owned a lot of domain in the same niche or keywords.. when you can optimize just one website with those keywords...
Sorry, what do you mean google keyword tool, is it google adwords or something else? I always use google adwords to find keywords with decent traffics and low competition, it works so far ..
Me too! I would also like to ask the same question. Just like what I have posted in another thread. Can anyone help me how to find an appropriate tool for adsense keyword researching?
The keyword I am targeting for this site is “internet marketing business†which I have research before I start the said blog. According to google keyword tool there are approximately 74,000 searches per month for the keyword internet marketing business. Since this is a good number, I tried to target it and focus on this keyword in my SEO I want to push at least my site to first page of google search result for this keyword. Luckily I have push my site in first page of google search result for the keyword “internet marketing business“, I am expecting to get at least a good volume of traffic from google since my site is at first page of google already for that term. But in my dismay , I don’t get any traffic from google search result for this term. Now I am starting to doubt that google keyword tool is great tool to research for a keyword of your target niche. This is not the only site I have created, that I use google keyword tool to find a keyword to target 4 or 5 of those sites rank number 1 for the keyword I have targeted which I found in google keyword tool result. But all of those sites don’t bring traffic on this keywords. My concuclusion here is that , before using those keywords that you find at google keyword tool, try to digg little bit more deeper and think again, test the keyword on your own mind does internet user really search for this keyword?
Its not possible to have exact figures from the google adsense keyword tool. But, it is a great tool for getting estimates, finding related keywords as well as monitoring search trends. plus, its free. One thing you must realise is that it is based on Google searches. So, who's in a better position to tell you about the keyword data than the guys who have the search engine (GOOGLE). That said the results may vary widely from what your site will experience in real life, but at least it is a start. If you want much more detailed reports, then i think some paid tools like keywordspy and keywordSamurai are things you can check out
Could you please tell why it is not trustworthy. Am using adwords tool for all the keyword analysis. Are they showing wrong information? I don't believe so.
? I must either be blind or a complete idiot but I thought it was adwords keyword tool? If that's what we're talking about, it is actually a pretty darn nice tool especially for domain name/keyword matching and appraising. Check the length and CPC against advertiser competition and searches and you can get a pretty nice idea of what is a good domain name to buy; helps if you're just looking to resell and especially if you're looking for a good nice for the super-duper awesome application you're developing !
i personally go for the google adword tool.like u said, it helps a lot in domaining, and it works pretty well for me.
