Actually it depends on whether you find the right niche to start with. If you get involved in a very competitive niche which pays well for a click, and put in a lot of hard work, it should not be long before you achieve payout. That is also provided that you do your SEO well or else without traffic, nothing will work out.
That means i am not the only one. My check was posted on 25th Sep, 2008 and i am yet to receive it but i checked in my adsense account. It took me nearly 6 months to get $100. I should hang around more.
It took 2/3 months for me to hit $100 with a few proxies. But on real sites with real content, it's harder to start up, but when you do, you earn more than you can with proxies.
I got my first payment from adsense in 3 months. I think even that is an average rate, nothing big. And I didn't not work very very hard for that, but yes, I must say that I worked on a continual basis for that period. Congrats for your payment!
The way I was going with my site, it would have only taken 5 more days for me to make the $100 but Adsense banned me for invalid clicks (?).
i heared about some people who make thousands of dollars in google adsense it is a matter of choosing good key words and positions also you need to have good rate of visitors to your site also if you have new contents and large no of pages it will give you more chance to earn money
