Thank you blackpudding, et al, for posting the tips on adding Adsense ads to PHPBB which really helped me in my search for answers on this.

My question is not related to Adsense ads but banner ads. I would like to ask if there's a way to place different banner ads on specific sections in the phpbb forums?

I would like to serve up relevant banner ads to different target audiences in my forum site. Each forum section serves a slightly different crowd with different needs - hence this requirement.

Thanks in advance for any help! :)

    Thanks for Sharing
The information is very useful, and I will creat a forum using phpbb, but the version is phpbb3, maybe there are some different things to do between version2 and version3.

Unfortunately, Easymod will not install with the latest release of PHPBB 3.0.4. When trying to install you will get an error message like this:

CRITICAL ERROR: the file 'extension.inc' could not be found. Please, make sure EasyMOD has been uploaded under the admin/mods/easymod/ directory of your phpBB installation.

As I can see, the only differences are that there are no more TPL files! Every file under subsilver2/template is a .html file. And the admin file is now named adm

So now how do I add adsence to my new release of PHPBB?

Thanks for the info. I'll implement the info as soon as I'm ready to use Google's Adsense in my phpBB forums.

I don't want to bump such an old post....but... Basically as this guy said. From follow some other guides on how to get it to show up. I then just made sure it was within the TOS of my google adsense by not having it on autoloaded paged such as the login and welcome pages.
So you add it to the viewtopic, viewforum, and index pages. It wont show up anywhere else pretty much. Thanks! Again sorry for reviving such an old post.

You can click my siggy to see how it looks and on what pages have them and which ones do not.

Doesn't this mean the ads show on registration pages (which is against TOS)?

I am agree with you on that we should not put our adsense code in Registration form or our well come page specially if that page does not contain enough content .
