Use the google adsense keyword tool to see what keywords your site is currently optimized for.
Then use it to see which are higher paying keywords in the same niche.
Then create new content that is optimized for the higher paying keywords.

As said above - you need to improve the keyword to get better ads and also you need to market your site in different country as well as per click results are also influenced from the country.

    hope it helps...

It's already good, personally as long as it it $0.1 minimum I'm happy with it. If you want to bother to increase it then look into the adwords keyword tool and target highest paying keywords when producing new content pages. I don't bother about that, I prefer high traffic keywords as long as CPC is > $0.1, that's my simple strategy :)

For today, targeting very well paid keywords will not work on Google anymore because a lot of bloggers will up to it. It may work only if the topics are interesting. Just work on the content and optimize your selected keywords.

How can you tell which keywords are the higher paying? The more competition, the more pay? Is this what you're talking about? adwords.google.com/o/Targeting/Explorer

Click on the "columns" button and then select the option that shows CPC prices.
