Google Adsense Haters Club - any fans?

I just hate google ads, they're everywhere, they ruin the looks of sites and ruin my internet surfing experience... and want to stop google creating some kind of monopoly. But as I'm sure all webmasters love it because its making them money but at the same time it's making google bigger and helping them reach their goal of creating a monopoly.

Here's where you can all start shouting at me: I was thinking of starting a group called Google Adsense Haters, a growing comunity of people who go around clicking on everyones google ads, (which wouldn't be illegal since these people will not be owning any adsense sites), this could get big on the news and people who are advertising on google would stop advertising and so the end of google ads.

Who's with me? (*gets ready for hearing abuse at this post*)

How about a 'Microsoft and Apple Haters club'? You and any other specky nerds who join could buy up all the copies of Windows and all the Ipods you can get your hands on and burn them. That would teach them!

Honestly though, while I'm no fan of MFA sites I run a couple of reasonably popular websites which offer a number of resources freely to visitors and its all paid for by the advertising. If you don't like ads get an ad-blocker and hope that your favourite sites don't disappear overnight through lack of funding...

    Cheers

I don't really have too much to give to this, but I believe I speak for the majority of us when I say that you won't make too many friends here.

I believe what you're proposing is also called "fraud", and it's quite illegal. You're welcome to get onto the news for it, but earning the ire of a billion dollar corporation isn't my idea of fun. *prepares for red rep*

This is so funny! Probably only you and people who got banned from adsense who would say something like that. :D
Don't worry you can still opt for clicksor, bidvertiser, etc etc :D

Give this child a break, he probably wants some attention and he doesnt get it anywhere else. So let's give him a hug.

This retard doesnt understand that there wouldnt be any incentives in creating content sites without ads. Why the heck would I spend my time buiding a website if it doesnt give me money.

This child has parents that pay him his food and his car and house, so he doesnt care and only sees his own nose.

    1 word: newb.

Thank you TimeIsMoney! glad someone finally understands me..I needed that hug (although you kinda stink). More hugs like that please :) Also people do work out of interest sometimes. I'm not against ads by the way just to make it clear. I enjoy ads that look nice and aren't just a block of small text with small writing saying Google Ads on the side of it, on every single one of the websites I visit nowadays.

    3 words: Yes I am

You're maliciously causing companies to lose money. There's a reason it's called "ClickFraud". Google didn't just drop millions on a mass settlement (albeit misdirected) due to Clickfraud... they take this very seriously.

Yes but that does not make it illegal. Where does it say 'do not click on google ads if you are not interested in them'?

The club will not be making money off this. What is there to stop people from clicking on other peoples ads if they are not interested in them?

You probably will be too reluctant to believe this but I don't even own a website let alone ever make use of adsense. I just came up with this idea and thought I'll see you guys reactions to it. I wasn't expecting to recieve any support from this post but only hearing abuse. Thought you will all come back with well argued answers and then beat me down, but no sign of that.

Every one looks for ways of making the news to promote their site and I think I've just found my way (if I ever make my googleadsensehaters.com). Google can't do anything to stop it since I have fully gone through their terms and it is not illegal since at the members of Google Adsense Haters will not have any connection with google ads (i.e. none of them own an adsense package or whatever it is called), they are just surfers who like hitting the ads.

What your doing is costing the companies money, and your doing it for that reason, so it IS illegal. I suggest you read the wikipedia article on click fraud.. It IS illegal..

Yes that's it! I can't put adsense on my non-exsistant adult site so I thought I'll stop right there and start making a Google Adsense haters club!...not quite

If I ever made a site I would never put ugly adsense on my sites even if it wasn't an adult site.

    Copied from wikipedia:

Other malicious intent: As with vandalism, there's an array of motives for wishing to cause harm to either an advertiser or a publisher, even by people who have nothing to gain financially. Motives include political and personal vendettas. These cases are often the hardest to deal with, since it is hard to track down the culprit, and if found, there is little legal action that can be taken against them.

Yes go for it, I wouldn't mind some additionnal clicks on my adsense blocks if they're no detected as fraud (ie. if members of your growing community are not doing it stupidly, like clicking 20 times on the same publisher or advertizer's site)

Why not? I don't think you can use google and adsense for ever in your domain name as they're trademarks.

As an adword user I don't use the content network so I only appear on google.com, would you target this too? You'd then be giving all the money to google who would never ban its own account for click fraud, so please let the google.com alone. :)

In your case however, since you are planning on creating a web site that tells people how to perform clickfraud, Google will have no trouble tracking you down and taking legal action against you.
