    Sounds fishy to me too.

Like chachi said, what is the call to action? EDIT: I see the e-mail now which seems genuine.

Get them to confirm your join date (first day of reports) or something a sp/cammer wouldn't be able to know. Then it's 100% fine.

hm.. this is interesting. If it is not a scam, why would someone at Google do this? This is the first time I've heard of it.

There's your answer right there. The doman is 'trakken.com' which is definitely NOT google. Delete and forget... that's the best thing you can do.

ok this is what the email said see what you think

We've reviewed your account and would like to invite you to take advantage
of this service. Our suggestions for you concerns the colour scheme and ad
format of Google ads showing on www.bidup.org, as well as some proposed
additional features you may wish to consider. As an example, we've noticed
you have not opted in to show image ads on your site. Google AdSense has
now introduced site targeting, allowing advertisers to select individual
sites or groups of sites on which they want their Google ads to run.
Rather than bidding for these ads on a cost-per-click basis, advertisers
bid to run on these sites on a cost-per-thousand-impression (CPM) basis.
Site targeting will work to your benefit, as more competition among ads
means higher potential earnings for you. However, you can only benefit
from site targeting if you are opted-in to image ads.

This is just one of several recommendations we have for your site. While
we can't guarantee specific results, we believe these recommendations will
improve your performance, thus improving your overall AdSense earnings.

If you'd like to get started with our optimisation service, or if you have
any further questions regarding this, please reply to this email.

We look forward to hearing from you.

    Sincerely,

    Ivan
    The Google AdSense Optimisation Team

Just read Google's annual report and you will find what I listed above. Trakken IS Google. No need to distrust this any longer.

Google is running an optimization test for select adsense users.

If you haven't received an email, you might also have a message for you when you log in to your AdSense account, the message reads:

"Learn how to improve the performance of your Google ads with our new optimization tips page! To be considered for personalized optimization tips, email us at with “Optimization Request” in the subject line."

    hope that helps

Hi all just a quick update i got a reply from google and a long email on how to increase my Adsense and this is what they said in a quick term stick loads of ads on your site maximum of 3 units per page mix them with different ads like place 1 image ad in your footer 2 text ads on your right menu or left and setup google search on your site in between ads or on the menu left, right or footer.

    xxx.bidup.org

This is how my sites looks now not sure if its a auction anymore like a google advertising site

Opinions needed what do you think does this look ok how it is setup as G said this will enable me to generate more revenue

My question is would these ads how they are placed now put my customers of from visiting.

I think it is perfectly fine. It does not detract but seems to flow with your content.
