Google adsense earnings very low this year – has anyone else found this ?

Hi My Google adsense earnings are very low this year (down approx. 80 % or more compared to last year ) – has anyone else found this ?
Some of my friends have suggested that it may possibly be to the worlds financial situation & that people / companies are not paying as much for advertising at the moment – although my downward Google adsense income did begin last October.
If anyone could explain this more or offer me any suggestions I would really appreciate it.

if you have 80% drop in revenue, then there must be some changes in your traffic and/or visitor geo. no way adsense is paying 80% less than last year. check your analytics and try to find out what changed since the time you started seeing revenue drop.

 

My earning are very low from the beginning

 

I completely agree, 80% is just way too much on drop on. I recommend what sultan said , double check all your traffic and visitors there must be something going wrongly.

 

depends on your niche as well .
your niche might be depending on festive timings (valentine's day, xmas etc)

 

If you found 80% drop, it probably because your traffic have huge drop due to the google panda.

Nope, haven't seen any drop in adsense earnings.

 

I've never had any success with Adsense sadly, very little ROI

Yesem ~50%. I guess my site is still a bit crappy, as I am now like 30 pages down in Google on my best keywords.

 

I had a 50% drop in earnings. It started an exact day and my traffic is the same. I think it has to do with some kind of update, because also my PRs have changed.

 

So how is your blog earning good if you are not getting traffic nor clicks? Where is that earning coming from? And your crappy site doesn't even work.

 

My earnings in February were a little lower than normal, but January and March AdSense earnings were just about the same as they have been the previous 2 or 3 years. So far April is about the same as the previous years as well.

Traffic is increased on my site but adsense earning is dropped 70% from January this year

 

I personally went up in Adsense Income this year.

In fact I doubled my adsense in the 1st quarter of 2012.

I have focused more in original content this year.

 

Yes brother i have noticed that its very low click rate but its due to the people are bidding less for the advertisement clicks so i would say something is better than nothing
