In your opinion do you think adsense is slowly falling down from the charts or going back up? I personally think that they are struggling to fight for their title. What are your thoughts?

dying, for publishers that is. cpc dropping, ecpm dropping, ctr dropping (they made the clickable area change)

might be growing in terms of google's pocket but their stock is failing so ... who knows.

All I know is that I am earning 1/3 of what I used to with the same ctr :(

I just signed up for adbrite to test it and see if I do better. I need to do better to keep paying for my servers :D

definite decrease from what it used to be.

same niches, fresh content, 1/3 the earnings.

new niches, big value initially, then dies through their smart pricing.

Since Adsense narrowed the click area, we also see the earning is falling.
What we did was to create new sites to make more earning to pay our server bill.

Adsense is hardly dying it is just consolidating making sure that they have quality publishers so as to attract good paying advertisers.

I think it could be failing for google as well since there are less clicks means less money for them, then again most of the most that they make through adsense is paid out to the site owners

Their stock is falling but I would say that they are generally falling with the market. Their Comscore recently isn't that great, they aren't losing market share, just more of not growing as fast as previously. But overall their growth is still phenomenal.

Do you have evidence to support this?

What I am seeing is a rather low quality of adwords advertiser (I have plenty blocked in my adsense filter)
MFA scams are still alive and kicking.
Overall income is going down (at least on my niches)
I would not call this a boom, probably a Ka-Boom! instead....

With the US economy sliding seemingly into recession, there is less money being spent as companies and individuals are becoming more frugal with their dollars.

Publishers are the end of the line and we're feeling the impact. The economy will pick up eventually, advertisers start spending more, and everyone will be happy.

It depends on your sites, if your Adsense sites has a lot of traffic which converts to clicks, you will be earning a lot from Adsense. But I must admit that overall it seemed to be getting harder as more and more new expectations seemed to be needed of publishers.

In that case you might make some nice bills, but trust me, they are making oodles more from you placing those ads on your site.
