Most people who click on their own ads don't do it to cover hosting cost. Usually it's because they think, "Oh man, this is so easy, i can't believe this program exists and I can just cheat like this! Oh hell yeah!" stuff like that. I.e. They think they're smarter than they really are.

No offense, but how in the hell is your site getting enough hits and sucking up enough bandwidth to cost you tons of money?

I'm no rocket scientist, but I'm fairly certain that your site wasn't making very much money with adsense.

well you can apply again... but this time use another name and another domain and please do regsiter from another computer as you IP has also been banned... I am not joking you can get the ads again.. but not on your name.. go for any of your family member's name and get it again.... and this time be sure you dont do anything foolish..

I know someone who had been banned under similar circumstances and he contacted Google and let them know. Now he has an account again with the same name and website and stuff.

It might be worth a shot.

Surely you must mean his ISP I.P? If his I.P has been banned and it is a static one, he can just call his ISP to change it (for $100..kidding)......
Or just use his adsense account in a Cyber Cafe, different I.P every time ?;)

Here is a link to a page with a nice list of various Google AdSense alternatives: http://websterflooble.com/program_id.html ...

... and here's a nice article: How to Bring Google AdSense Down" Or "You are Guilty but We will not Tell You Why" and "How to resurrect your google AdSense account that I've read few weeks ago which also lists these two sites: http://www.internet-search-engines-faq.com/google-adsense-alternatives.shtml, http://www.threadwatch.org/resources/advertising/contextual/adsense/alternatives with various other AdSense alternatives.

Good luck to you; and maybe just a suggestion: kill that friend of yours already !!

Why? If it's legal, post it here. If it isn't, perhaps you shouldn't be posting it at all.

Even if it is legal, it can not involve sending a letter to google. It might be difficult to argue "ur" case, when "ur" computer keyboard is missing the "yo" key.

my best advice is to look for an AdSense alternative. Anything is better than the grief that AdSense puts marketers through

Use awstats get the report appeal to adsense team and write out a full detailed report that someone is really clicking fraud your ads.

This is the best advice I've seen in days on here. Many people miss the ip logging issue. How many times do people come on here complaining that they have had 5-6 accounts all banned on the same site, well of course they will be because they log your ip address.
As I say 'anurag_online' this is good advice to those that need it. This just what I also offer people guidance on, as many people who are banned get banned again , and again as they don't change a thing and think they can continue to use the same site. Yet they ban the site from adsense not just your account, so even if you sell the site it's useless for adsense to anyone. Likewise if you buy a banned site and put new code on it, they ban your account as well.
