Google Adsense -- A Scam ??

I recently got banned from google adsense right before they were suppose to send out a large check to me. After doing some research, here is an interesting article I found...

    http://business.timesonline.co.uk/article/0,,13129-2123601,00.html

This is exactly to a tee what happened with my partner and myself, and in No way did we ever have anything to do with invalid clicks. With over 150 websites we would not have the time.

I think this is to pay off the $90 million dollars that they were sued for, when it was proven in court that they had used bots to click "adwords" clients ads.

LOL. They wouldn't ban people just to pay of the $90 million. They already have very deep pockets. Anyway, if they banned you they would have to return money to affected advertisers.

Another "I got banned from adsense" thread!
Yeah, where was it proven that google used bots to click ads?
Somehow, missed all that in looking at the court case and findings.

Face it, somewhere you and your partner must of done something wrong.
Because Google adsense is not a scam!

They just forked out 900 million for advertising on myspace, I doubt they even CARE about 90 million dollars. So what you are saying is true.

150 sites is a lot to maintain.

The problem is you dont know which site that it may have happened on and therefore can't prove anything from the server logs.

It isn't always the guilty who get banned and in the case many small publishers, they wont even be able to produce server logs to gather any evidence.

With so much witheld information, it is always going to come down to your word against theirs... and their decision is final, whatever the reason... it is in the terms of service that every publisher agreed to. It is why the 'adsense business' is a highly uncertain one from a publisher point of view.

I find the majority of my adsense revenue comes from just a few sites. Specializing in creating hundreds of sites just for adsense definitely increases the risk of something like this happening.

Have to agree, the more sites you have with adsense, the more problems you will run into.

Keep in mind, google did not just ban you outright one day.
They did send you an email explaining what is going on with your account.
Usually in this email, they give you the site or sites involved.
So to go straight banning, you and or your partner were not paying attention to google emails.
Easiest thing to do is email them now and ask why you got banned and how to get unbanned.
They are reasonable to deal with and who knows, prove or state your case in good terms, google may unban you.

Like so many other threads of this type, never enough information is given by the OP because there is something fishy and they just do not want to let everyone know.

I got banned and it aint my fault! LOL
Everyone says that in these threads!!!!

It could happen to any of us. Therefore, we should not make fun of the people who got banned from adsense.

Just 4 months ago you were making almost $100 a month, now how much you make? You made 150 websites in under 4 months?

Can you explain where this info came from? I have never heard of this and I seriously doubt it. They were sued for lack of care (effectively) NOT for clicking ads themselves.

Also I dont think anything was "proven" anyway (I coule be wrong) as wasnt it "settled"?

I dont think google is a scam... if you got banned they must have caught you doing something that is against their rules.. just be more careful and dont click on your own adsense.. :D

snakemaster, maybe you're just looking for an excuse and blaming Google for your own mistakes. Are these 150 sites MFA with nonsense content? I'd be happy if Google started to ban these useless websites.

However if you somehow created and maintain 150 quality websites and you are sure you did nothing against TOS, just email them, don't waste your time writing stupid things in the forums.

I understand his frustration, it doesn't sound like he did anything wrong. I hear alot of people saying they have had similar problems with Google. There are so many people that say they were banned for no reason, I doubt if they are ALL lying. I haven't had a problem with them yet, I will keep Google on most of my sites, still feeling a little hesitant to count my adsense chickens yet:). But, it is probably not a bad idea to find a few reliable affiliate programs that pay. On my sites, I am also selling art and funny t-shirts with 2 good companies. That way, if Google does ever give me any grief it will be easy, I'll just delete them and say whatever.

Hear, hear. I hope history proves that useless MFA sites are an unfortunate but temporary side effect of AdSense.
