Google ads showing as regular links in searches?

Over the last few days I've noticed on searches I've done that weren't keywords a lot of affiliate type links and SEM ads that look like regular search results. Noticeably amazon popped up quite a few times at number one looking like a regular result on stuff that was totally irrelevant to their site.

Today on a couple of searches I noticed affiliate links from clickbank with the id x'd out.

What's the deal is this google's new way to scam money from advertisers?

Sometimes ads go above the search rankings and look like 1st or 1nd when really they're still ads.

Something which I don't like. Genuine sites with good content should be given priority and not spammy ad related sites.
