I was not sure if this goes into the fun section or here. It seems a lot of publishers are not aware of the TOS. So people, adsense in emails is NOT ALLOWED!!!!! Wonder how long these people can hold up till. . .
I dont think that looks like a google ad to me. maybe i just havnt seen one that looks like that before.
Interesting how they were able to set that up, if it is in email, how will google ban them because it cannot trawl the content with its spiders surely?
well guys just THINK a bit more before you come to the conclusion. 1) Naurki.com is a massive job site in india with literally millions of hits each day. 2) I am sure they are premium publisher We are not sure if premium publisher can insert ads in email. I thought no but no one is sure about this. secondly it seems that email is generated from their website as if someone is sending "Send to your friend" link which sends the whole HTML as is. This could be a flaw in their programming that sends google javascript code along with HTML. Thats my thought on this whole issue and to all other before jumping to conclusions think LOGICALLY.
Definitly Naukri is a really big site, its beyond doubt. I did think in this angle, but then this mail was sent from one of their clients who invited me to attend a interview. Naukri being Premium publisher is a strong possibility, but I do not understand how the google bot can actually access my inbox in hotmail to serve ads properly. This is worrying since if it can access my inbox, it can definitly take a snapshot of my emails Good ol' days of privacy is gone?
its prolly because the code is send via the HTML page. Try viewing the same email with non-HTML, you wont see the ads i bet on that. the code is left in the email thats the only reason u see ads.
I think it is faked. AdSense is Javascript based, show me an email application which allows Javascript in an Email in these days of the Internet? 5-6 years ago maybe. So it must be an hardcoded Ad, htmlcode copied. And the real Ad is on the Site it is linking to. Maybe it is also some kind of fishing? The links are pointing to an IP, very unusual and typical if someone uses a hacked server.
Those arent google ads, and if they are something is real fishy. Whats with the search bar, it doesnt say the url of the site but an ip instead. Is this a fake site that hosts google ads? I would get the adsense id and report it to google.
The interface is JS but I can't believe they will allow the javascript in the emails, such stuff gets parsed out for sure. I agree with netstorm, something very fishy is going on here.
Yes, it was in javascript i think (how to find that out?), hotmail tried blocking it...but since I was curious, i removed all the security thingys. . .why would someone host google ads? beats me.. .
