So this randomly started happening (I don't think I changed any settings or anything) But for some reason, my comp doesn't display Google Ads anymore. I can't see them on my own site and I can't see them on anyone else's. I know they're there cuz I got a friend to screenshot my site and the ads were showing for him. I have Java enabled...I can't figure out what's going on...any ideas?
Do you have a firewall or some kind of a web filter that blocks advertisments? I block all advertisments at my office, people at the office have come to me and been like "your internet is so nice and clean, at home i always see ad's" lol
probably, u activated some kinda ads blocker.. or did u switch using browsers? or install any malware or similar protection??
have been living with the same problem for couple of months now, no idea what causes it . practically forgot what adsense looks like by now, but sure wish to see it again ps.i have 2 pc's and laptop , only 1 pc has it. they are all on xp let me know if you find any solution
Maybe if you are behind a corporate firewall, it will block!! I face the same issue as i am behind a corporate firewall.. It works when I browse at home..
Try clearing your cache and history, or resetting defaults for your browser. Full virus and warez scanning is worth.
As others have suggested try another browser, plenty out there, firefox, opera. Narrow the problem down, if the other browser does not work then you know it some ad blocker at the OS level. You need to eliminate the suspects before finding the guilty party.
I've seen viruses/trojans that will do this. They may have tried to alter hosts file to show their ads isntead of google ads and didn't do it exactly right.
Any luck twizzlers? I have had the same problem for a while now. Tried everything I can think of. IE and FF and Chrome all the same problem. All addons switched off. AV off Firewall Off JAva updated and ON. Changed IP address. cookies cleared. Still the same problem. Have you tried looking at a site you know has ads through HideMyAss, or some other proxy for some weird reason I can see all the ads then????? I am surprised nobody else is suffering this. Imagine the damage to google if someone wrote a virus that hid adwords ads, they could lose a fortune!! let me know how you get on good luck
Whoa, yeah. It works when I go through HideMyAss. "Use our free proxy to surf the internet anonymously whilst hiding your IP address. Proxy to bypass restrictions, blocked websites, hide your browsing history and protect your identity online." That means there is some hidden restriction that is not allowing us to see the ads normally..and the proxy bypasses it..but how do we bypass it ourselves.. I'm thinking it might be some virus..?
I cant believe we are the only ones suffering this. Perhaps its a virus and somebody is holding g00gle to ransom. If only a percentage of people are suffering with this (and it would take a while for anybody to notice) they will lose millions. Unless of course its just the three of us, and we are alone in..... (in cyberspace can anybody hear you scream?)
when i installed hide my ip browser software, and set my ip to diffrent country, i was able to see adsense again
