When I logged into Adsense late this morning (and just now), I got presented with a "Security Alert" from IE about the certificate - implies the certificate has expired, although it says good from 3/23/2003 to 3/31/2004 (still not midnight GMT yet). I'm guessing just an "whoops" on Google's part since the date is today's - has anyone else seen this issue(?) Thanx, alek African Safari Pictures and Churchill Polar Bears
Yep... I saw it too. Personally I think the certificate authorities are a joke though. All I really care about is that it's SSL. Not who issued it, and am I really at the site I think I'm at. - Shawn
I (mostly) agree with 'ya - remember the idea/concept of the Cert is to help insure you really ARE at the site you think you are and no DNS funkiness/etc. has been done. But the whole thing has kinda turned into a money-making opportunity for the Cert makers, and in reality, few people truly care about it anyway ... or for that matter, even check for https and/or the padlock. BTW, looks like Google has updated the cert so it is good for another year (still from Thawte), so anyone checking after this won't see what we saw earlier.
