Google & admin banned

    i got a mail from my web site hosting service providers saying that your and google's ip have been firewalled:eek: .So could u please let me know what i can do so that i can access my own website..

    Dont you think this is insane to keep a webmaster away from his own website..So masters plz help me out???

    Sounds ridiculous. The only reason i could imagine for this is that the automated hosting system noticed too much traffic from your and "google`s" IP addresses and decided its an attack of some sort. If this is not the case and the hosting company still refuse you after you email them, move to another hosting ASAP.

    If you didn't access your site like a billion times, then I would simply move my site to another web hosting company. I have noticed that Google sometimes access a site alot, but I have never seen any reason to block the GoogleBot IP.

    They should first give you warning before directly Banning your IP. Btw which Hosting Provider you are using ?

    Weird. Dreamhost doesnt do that usually. I used to overload their mysql servers a lot, they sent emails but never turned anything off and didnt block IPs.
    Their support answer rather quickly and if you did nothing wrong, it probably can be resolved.
