Is there any Alogorithmic information available concerning the Relevancy Calculation that goes into what standards are being used to determing why some pages from the same domain will sometimes show up indented below another result from the same domain on SERPs on a given page... While some Domains are related to one another - this also occurs in unrelated GEOCITIES sites... Unable to find any mention of this in any of Google-related tech interviews... It would be interesting to uncover how this strategy was conceived of and developed
The indented listing works like this... Anything from the same domain that is on the same page of results (first ten as default) will get the results grouped together (the lower ranking will move up to be grouped with the higher ranking entry with an indenting listing). Anything more than 2 are filtered out by default. Some examples... isp billing software (default filtered): I rank #1 and #2 isp billing software (unfiltered): I rank #1, #2 and #3. If my entries were not grouped, I would rank #1, #7 and #8, but you get the grouping with your highest ranking.
I have quite a few lower (ranking terms) that have the same result. Sometimes it would be nicer to have some of my multiples seperated rather than together and limited to just 2. IMHO.
