Google Ad Sense Beginner Question

I have an E-commerce site; I’m new to Google Ad Sense. It is not my objective to run Google ads through out my site, as I don’t want competitions ads running on my site.

Can I choose to run Google Ads only on my link page or must they be distributed through out my site?

Just paste the AS code into your links page and you're good to go. ;)

If it's a business/private/company's website, it'd be better not to run any network ad for the reason you gave.

I wouldn't do it since redirecting people for measly couple cents wouldn't be beneficial for my business.

or you can also put adsense on other pages and use the 'competitor adsense filter' (see settings in your adsense account) to stop your competitors ads appearing - it was designed exactly for that reason

I was thinking the same thing Rasputin was thinking. I also put in my filter some ads that I don't want showing for example ones that pay really low.

Doesn't look very professional if you're running adds on a website of that kind, thus I'd advise you to stay well clear of it as I'd suspect customers may be a little dis heartened to engage in business with you. That's just my opinion though.
