    hmmmm, it doesn't sound like you can use that name as it is copyrighted protected, you got to find an alternative, I don't know what you are trying to sell but use words like gadget, or technology, best mp3 or something like that. Good luck

    well you cant provide ads on drugs, adult content and in this case you are providing ads on third party registered brand... like sony is a brand name and is well reputed so you don't own it so u cant do that. :cool:

    Hey, maybe I am wrong but there are new rules which let you use the trademark in your campaign but no in ads but in keyword list. You can appear in Google on keyword "SONY". And I think that is good. Write some creative ad text and I think that it will be ok.

    I've run a campaign for a client before who used this exact trick. He sold television accessories, one was Sony.

    The software will not catch this... yet. However, it looks weird and is unprofessional looking. It actually reduces click rates.

    Better is to do this to circumvent:

    www.mysite.com/Sony

    or

    sony.mysite.com

    It also appears that the system does not catch DKIs. So if your keyword is "sony modelxx remote", the DKI would be something like:

    {KeyWord:TV Remotes}

    and when your ad triggers on your keyword, it will look like:

    Sony Modelxx Remote

    But again, as the system gets more sophisticated, it might catch this in the future or maybe not show your ad at all, or at least always use the DKI default text.
