Google is acting unusual for me, in that whenever I click a link to a page from their search engine, I am redirected to an ad page. I have tried this on many different search terms so I know it's not just the individual page's fault. I haven't seen any threads here about this so I assume it's just me; if so, what do you think the problem is?
Does it only happen when you browse Google or with other sites too? Best thing would be scanning your PC for viruses.
I've had that same problem in the past. Major pain in the butt, can't remember how I removed it but it was some kind of adware/spyware that was on my computer. If I remember correctly you should see a forwarding IP in your history right before you go to that ad page. Try googling that IP for instructions from people how to fix it.
Ya, you got some kind of adware. Download Adaware (its free) from download.com and scan your PC. http://download.cnet.com/3001-20_4-10045910.html?spi=7b043ae97daf7d344a3b88904e5b077a
