Today I got an email from DoubleClick announcing that Google had closed its transaction and now own DoubleClick Performics. I wonder how this will affect the adsense program. Any thoughts?

In the short term it will probably not mean anything for any of us.
In the long term they will probably combine adsense and doubleclicks systems into something even better

This has been talked about for some time. So yeah they had it passed through the regulators. All it really means is maximum extraction for Google from the webmasters and the webmasters carry the burden. More profit for them, little for us.
