    probably including supp pages :p

well, i noticed that a site: command with a trailing slash simply removes all the supplemental stuff from the results. also, the http://www.yourcache.com site gives roughly the same results as the site: command, just without the supps

I only got ONE hyphenated domain that doesn't look like it's in the dumps. All the others are still crashed with site: listings, even a domain that's 9 years old.

    Bah!!!

I'm also pretty sure at this point that google shows/records only half and less of page impressions (since a couple of weeks now).
    What about you guys?

My sites are still messed up one only has the home page the other has 150 pages indexed but only 1 of those is actulally active the rest were taken down like 6 months ago.
So if we are all losing traffic from the big G - someone must be gaining traffic right ? I have not seen anyone reporting that they have gained traffic were is it all going now ?

I'm seeing a SMALL improvement for some of my websites, whilst others one day have their rightfull pages (20k), the other day they have 80, and so on.

One of my forums (running co-op if anyone actually thinks it matters at this point) is back up to 30K today. It got down to less than 100 the last few days.

No changes, reinclusion or anything like that.

    Hopefully this one will "stick."

hahaha yah my bad there... BTW all DCs are reporting similar or almost exact results for all my queries. ;)

Also I DO NOT have any sitemaps for the sites that are coming back or new ones being indexed... this might not mean anything but thought I'd through it out there.

Is there any conection between those that have google sitemaps set up on there sites and those who have lost there index? Its not a problem effecting the sitemap crawl/index only maybe? (if the crawl from sitemap is different)

I have submited a google sitemap and am down to 1 page.

I'm in a similar position, Caios, with one of my forums (2 listings, 1 page). I added a sitemap AFTER I started seeing problems. At that point, the number of pages had dropped dcrastically. After adding the sitemap, it dropped even further.

I don't really believe they're connected but at this point I don't know what is significant and what isn't any more.

Im clutching at straws now! :) Is it always like this every so often?

With my low experience of dealing with search engines this all feels like a real baptism of fire for my learning curve. It’s a frustrating business so far this SEO!

No, it's not always like this. In the past, there have been blips and screwups following an update but not on this level, I don't think. There is very little the last update did NOT screw up, from what I'm seeing.

It's almost like Google said, "We need to get rid of all those Type X sites in our index to give more room to the Type A sites!". Then, they rolled out Big Daddy. Then they realized, "Ooops! We got it backwards! Now we've eliminated the Type A sites, elevated the Type X sites, and given greater prominence to the Type Y and Z sites we didn't want in the index either! -- I know! Let's blame it on black hat webmasters, claim it's all good now, and go on vacation!"

I should have looked more closely. The 30K includes 99% supplemental pages. They're all forum posts, no reason for them to drop to supplemental - especially on a forum with over 200,000 posts!

The supplemental thing is totally new to this site. Never seen it before.
