Google is a threat in terms of software for microsoft.
Microsoft is a threat to Google in terms of search.

The future will be who can build a PPC platform that gives better returns to advertisers. At the moment Google is the only player that has a decent system. Bing and Yahoo partnership will see this gap close but there is still a long way to go.

There is a strong competition between Google and Microsoft. The Google-Microsoft competition is good news for consumers because it means more choices and better products. Microsoft launched the Bing operating system to compete with Google chrome operating system. Google launched its desktop search product to compete it with Microsoft's searching desktop computers. In my opinion there is a strong competition between them.

so far, noone comes close to google as the biggest threat to microsoft. In terms of search engine, google has been dominating the competition compared to what they're trying to do with microsoft's Bing. They try to outsmart and out style google, yet they seem to fail. What microsoft is failing to understand that users dont want things to be pretty yet complicated to use. it's more on the simplicity and easy to use which google so far thrives on. It's also a situation of "a little bit too late" since google is already well established.

LOL. A thing that one shouldn't do is to make an anti-virus program open source.

You want a good thing, and you want it to be free. Do you not understand how much effort goes into developing an anti virus program? How much effort goes into updating it and supporting it?

Apply yourself in the real world, make more money, and then you won't have to criticize other people's labor.
