Yes. Everything is going to be in the "cloud" and there won't be a need for the expensive programs that Microsoft currently sells.

microsoft bing will most likely be a viable competitor for google in the near future. microsoft windows 7 is now out and bing is the first search that is used when opening internet explorer.

Microsoft is not even close to Google when talking about Search Market, but in term of Software and OS Microsoft was and will remain the KING IMHO ;)

people that arent very savy will probably stick with microsoft, and not change search features so they will stick with bing. I think google may have a little bit more to go before they are really a major threat

Recent Microsoft activities is really getting weird. Instead Google new products are more acceptable to people and definitely that's a threat to Microsoft.

google is always trying to compete and always will be, I do see them overtaking microsoft in the software area. At least taking away a huge market share from them

MS/Google are not really in the same niches, they both have internet browsers and OS, but they do not really share the same people in terms of interest, i don't think they are a threat, altho MS should pay close attention to what Google do and not let them get too far ahead of them.

Of course they are Microsoft isn't partnering with Yahoo for no reason. but ultimately what does it matter? It's big business and no matter what you think about it ... it will run its course exclusive of you or anyone else who is just pondering.

Yes it is like a threat only as all the tools google is launching is affecting directly to microsoft sales. If we talk about Google docs or Chrome frame it is always against Microsoft.
