    Google plus button must be added t your side by your own.(If you are using blogger, there is a option for this). Go to Google web master central to do this.

    Exactly. It's no different than adding a FB "like" button to your page. It doesn't just show up, you need to add the code for it.

    I think it basically legitimizes you as a human being and not a scrapper. It won't necessarily improve your ranking but eventually those with NO plus 1's ever will likely be pushed down as they are likely computers and not humans. Just a guess though...

    I think they are already included in the authority algorithm, but is just a small part gor now. They will probably increase it's role in the future as part of the Google+ marketing strategy.

    Here is the code to add it to your website:

    <script type="text/javascript">
     (function() {
       var po = document.createElement('script'); po.type =
    'text/javascript'; po.async = true;
       po.src = 'https://apis.google.com/js/plusone.js';
       var s = document.getElementsByTagName('script')[0];
     s.parentNode.insertBefore(po, s);
     })();
     </script>
     <g:plusone annotation="inline" href="http://www.yourwebsite.com/"></g:plusone>

    Code (markup):

    Oh, now I see what you mean! You want to increase the number of people who hit your +1 button!

    In that case, you can try to offer content in exchange for a +1. You can try http://www.plusonetodownload.com, it is completely free and very easy to use. You just create a page with some content your visitors want, DO NOT link directly to it from your website, visit plusonetodownload and get the code.

    Disclaimer: plusonetodownload belongs to me, but I'm not trying to sell you anything! It is and always will be totally free
