Google +1 successful?

Anyone here using Google +1? Is it worth trying or is it just a revamped version of the fb like button?

i believe it will be successful but it need to take time while not much of people do have Google Account. They do need to sign out google account in order to use Google + 1. It just launch and now it play important role in SERP. I believe it will be very success in future.

It is gaining popularity just due to media coverage.

I am sure that the google +1 will also have fate similar to google buzz and it will be a big failure.

Currently +1 is good only for SEO's.
There is nothing new in +1 it is similar to facebook like so everyone will continue using facebook like instead of shifting to google +1.

 

For the Google's quality content measurement element it is going to be a hit for SERP .. These days search results are updated very frequently by Google and for quality content it is the major element if it gets the +1 from the google users..

 

Does it help bring traffic? I haven't tried.

I added buttons two weeks ago and already collected some votes so results are there as I don't see that much votes/ actions for facebook. Right now I can't see if ranking improved as sites are already pos 1 or Top 10 so hard to improve

 

People are already selling +1 services to inflate the count. This is a terrible metric and search engines should be very cautious of data received from this and how it is used in ranking sites.

 

I love how exclusive it is. However, I just don't know once we give it a few months.. it might get congested like facebook.

You got a point. In the google help service, this issue has been reported due to phony +1's but the idea comes to "how can google resolve this selling of +1 service?" If the code has no tracking?
