I don't think it will affect SERPs nor will it affect Facebook's Like feature in anyway. Google is just mimicking the same Facebook feature.
I think secretly that was the aim, to utilise Facebook's like feature as a way for search engine rankings, which will be a good detriment to those seeking an unfair advantage by tricking the search engine robots
