You shouldn't need an invitation to join Google+ anymore, it is open to everyone.

I've not received many Facebook likes or retweets of my blog posts but have received a handful of Google+ +1s so far. I'm not sure if it's because it's new and people are giving it a shot or if Google+ is here to stay. I certainly like it better than Facebook but there's not enough of my friends and associates using it heavily for me to stop using FB yet.

Google +1 is not open for people using "Google for Business". Which I think is wrong! I use Google Apps for my company because of the integrated Gmail, docs, calendar, etc... but I want to use Google +1 for my company too! I feel like I am being left behind, and people are getting a head start on me!

I could be wrong but I can't imagine using such a service would work in your favor in the long run. Google might ban certain accounts if they catch illegal/spam +1'ing

Google is just testing the waters for Social Media, and therefore a fully functional Google+ is not in the market yet. But more can be expected.
